Squaw Valley IFSA National Big Mountain Competition – UPDATE

The Squaw Valley IFSA National is a GO! The recent storm dropped just over 2 feet of snow at higher elevations. The net gain was 18" of great snow which blew into all the right places for the competition next week.

We have two high-elevation venues in prime form at this point: the Slot and Granite Chief Peak. These upper mountain slopes are skiing really well, and the new snow, on top of a solid base, has opened many features and lines in each of these venues. Please see attached photos taken earlier this week.

Warm temperatures are forecast for the next few days followed by high pressure next week, and a slight chance of weather towards the weekend. Even with a few warm days, we anticipate the good skiing will continue through our event. We look forward to a successful IFSA National Big Mountain Competition at Squaw Valley.
