Certification Levels
The IFSA has developed criteria to help create a consistent and high quality level of judging at IFSA events. Below is a list of IFSA judging levels and the requirements to achieve that level. Requirement are determined by IFSA Senior Head Judges and may adapt based on further analysis.
Level 1 IFSA Judge
- Complete and pass the level 1 Judge Certification workshop
- Shadow a judges pit at an event
Level 2 IFSA Judge
- Scored an IFSA event with a degree of competency to the IFSA Judging System
- Approval by IFSA Senior Head Judge
Level 3 IFSA Judge
- Demonstrated a significant degree of competency to the IFSA Judging System
- Knowledgable of the IFSA Handbook and Region 2 FWQ Rules & Tools
- Approval by IFSA Senior Head Judge
Level 4 IFSA Judge
- Demonstrated a significant degree of competency at the Level 3 Certified IFSA Judge role
- Knowledgable of the IFSA Handbook, Region 2 FWQ Rules & Tools, and IFSA Head Judge Resposnibilities
- Approval by IFSA Senior Head Judge
Level 5 IFSA Judge
- Demonstrated a significant degree of competence at the Level 4 IFSA Head Judge role
- Knowledgable of IFSA Handbook, Region 2 FWQ Rules & Tools, IFSA Technical Director responsibilites, and IFSA Head Judge Responsibilities
- Approval by IFSA Senior Head Judge Team
